Position Summary: The Youth Program Manager will lead the Youth and Young Adult Work Experience (YYAWEx) Program which connects individuals between the ages of 16-24 to paid work experiences that improve their career opportunities and concurrently support economic growth throughout Pierce County. The Youth Program Manager will also lead the LifeLaunch GO Program, which connects young adults who have been involved with the justice system to access work opportunities. This person will lead program development, provide financial oversight, staff supervision, and create systems and procedures to meet contract requirements.

Salary: $29.19 - $31.73 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Youth Program Manager responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:
- Work collaboratively with all Goodwill departments to ensure programs are aligned with Goodwill's mission and values, relevant, inclusive, and navigable for the youth and the young adults it serves.
- Support the creation of the YYAWEx program and expectations for staff, building an internal culture of collaboration and alignment with other GORR Workforce Development programs.
- Oversee all aspects of YYAWex and LifeLaunch: GO service delivery, including onboarding of students and young adults, eligibility confirmation and enrollment, coaching and case management, support services and referrals, internship support, business engagement, documentation, tracking and reporting.
- Create systems and procedures that meet contract requirements for YYAWEX and LifeLaunch GO.
- Work closely with Director of Community Support Services, Workforce Development, and Goodwill Industries International to assure contract outcomes and compliance.
- Provide financial oversight, including forecasting and monitoring of budgets; ensuring on time submission of financial documents and verifying spending is aligned with program goals.
- Engage youth in providing feedback, guidance and input on program planning and execution.
- Maintain relationships with Workforce Central and Goodwill Industries International via regular communication, required contract meetings and quality assurance reviews.
- Ensure relevant data is entered into management information systems including but not limited to CaseWorthy, Grantee Performance Management System (GPMS), GORR CRM systems, and Monday.
- Support staff in professional development
Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services or three years experience in related field
- Experience with data tracking and reporting using CaseWorthy, Monday, or other CRM systems
- Experience working with youth and/or young adults with a commitment to helping them succeed
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and/or direct reports
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience working in a non-profit environment and managing grants (desirable)
- Prior experience with alternative education models (desirable)
- Prior experience with budget management
- Demonstrate cultural competence; specifically, awareness, attitude, knowledge, willingness and skills to work effectively with a culturally and demographically diverse population
- Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
- Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
Other Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of contract management, community collaborations, and engaging participants to measurable success.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid Washington State driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance are required.
Other Qualifications: Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
